Memories!
I always loved walking around the Old Town. History is alive in those medieval stones and twisty, narrow alleyways, especially when it’s a foggy day.
The design of Charles Jencks’ Garden of Cosmic Speculation (created in 1989) was inspired by mathematics and science. It looks like something straight out of a Jorge Luis Borges story, doesn’t it?
Adding to its allure, the garden is only open to the public for one day a year. Proceeds from ticket sales are donated to cancer research. It is located in Portrack House near Dumfries, Scotland

Calton Hill Sunset, Edinburgh (by Grant_R)
The view from Carlton Hill is indeed spectacular. You can see nearly all of the Old City and a good amount of New Town. David Hume’s tomb is also nearby.
I lived in Edinburgh for a little while and couldn’t believe how many girls I saw walking around with faces as orange as Oompa Loompahs, but pale necks and hands. You’d think a naturally pallid people would be skilled at faking a bronzed look, but I guess not.
