It’s actually a Chinese tradition to clean everything for the lunar new year, but Koreans do it too. (I’m pretty sure it’s common in other countries/cultures with a strong Chinese influence too.) My family has always celebrated the new year at the same time as anyone else because it’s easier to coordinate. We always spent the last week of December cleaning the house...

There! I just cleaned most of the things
I just need to do laundry and change the sheets and the apartment will be sparkling clean (rather than middlin’ clean) for the first time in months. I even scrubbed the walls (how in the world did those flecks of pasta sauce (?) get on the living room wall?) I’m not really a superstitious person, but I do adhere to the East Asian practice of cleaning your home thoroughly for the New...

In online (hetero) dating, "in shape" means "in a...
I doubt most straight guys on these sites are looking for bulky, muscular women with big shoulders and thighs that could crush a man’s skull. Or fat women who can complete marathons and have resting heart rates of 40 beats per minute.

2010 Year in Review →
1. What did you do in 2010 that you’d never done before? I went on an SSRI. I advanced to candidacy. I started Tumblring. 2. Did you keep your new years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I don’t think I made one last year. I think I will this year: try to be more disciplined and scheduled. Which means: exercising regularly, sleeping normal hours, spending certain times per...

I wish people would stop throwing away the rocks I...
Good rocks are hard to find. Especially now that everything’s covered in snow. It is also weird and attracts attention if you’re wandering around outside in late December without a jacket, looking intently at the ground. ETA: I actually had to go inside, go up stairs, root through the recycling and get a cat food can to use. For the love of pete, people, leave my rocks alone!

The only things that go in my cooch:
Fingers, tampons, penises, sex toys, and glycerin-free lubricant. Because yeast infections FUCKING SUCK. Food of any kind doesn’t belong anywhere near a vagina.
